Donovan developed an interest in personal finance and investing through his studies and a desire to help others build long-term financial security. Drawn to the analytical side of investing and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients, he chose to pursue a career in wealth management.
Donovan graduated from the University of Iowa with bachelor's degrees in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance. He joined RCM Capital Management in 2026 and currently holds his Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certification through LPL Financial, as well as his Life and Accident & Health Insurance licenses.
Originally from Quincy, Illinois, Donovan recently relocated to the Birmingham area to begin his career with RCM. Outside of the office, he enjoys cooking, staying active through working out and playing pickleball, and spending time with family and friends. Music has always been an important part of his life, having played drums in church since the age of 13 and performed with the Hawkeye Marching Band at the University of Iowa. His faith has been a meaningful part of his life from a young age and continues to be an important part of who he is.
